As I am from Kentucky I just had to inclued this recipe. Recipe orginally by Mrs. Dudley Forsythe. Ingredients:
1/2 c. butter |
2 1/2 c. sugar |
3 eggs |
1 c. cream (may use half & half, canned milk or pure cream) |
3 tbsps. flour |
1 tsp. vanilla |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar with flour. 2. Beat in eggs (by hand, but beat well). 3. Stir in cream, add vanilla. 4. Pour into two pie shells and bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes-until firm in center when shaken. 5. ==================================================== 6. Note: I use frozen pie shells and have found that they tend to get too brown before pie is done. To prevent this, put a small strip of Reynolds Wrap around edges while baking-remove the last five minutes. |
