Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups cornmeal |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 eggs, beaten |
2 tablespoons bacon drippings |
2 cups buttermilk |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients, and mix well. Drop batter by 2 tablespoonfuls onto a hot, lightly greased griddle. Turn cakes when tops are bubbly and edges are browned. Serve immediately. |
