The original recipe called for 1 cup pineapple juice, juice of two oranges, juice of one lemon, 2 eggs well beaten, 1 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon of flour, butter size of a walnut, and gave as directions: Mix the flour and sugar together and add to the other ingredients. Put in a double boiler and heat until it becomes thick and creamy, stirring constantly. When cool add one cup of whipped cream. Serves fifteen persons. Ingredients:
1 cup pineapple juice |
1/2 cup orange juice |
1/4 cup lemon juice |
2 eggs, well beaten |
1 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon flour |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 cup whipped cream, whipped |
Directions:
1. Mix the flour and sugar together and add to the other ingredients. 2. Put in a double boiler and heat until it becomes thick and creamy, stirring constantly. You can also cook it in the microwave, stirring frequently with a wire whisk. 3. Remove from heat and cool. 4. When cool add one cup of whipped cream. |
