From the historic Keeler Tavern in Ridgefield, CT Ingredients:
1 gallon cider |
7 cinnamon sticks, broken into pieces |
2 teaspoons whole cloves |
2 teaspoons whole allspice |
Directions:
1. Pour gallon of cider in a very large pot. Put spices in a cheesecloth and add to cider. Bring to a boil. 2. Simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes. 3. Let stand for 15 minutes with heat off. Remove spice bag. 4. Chill until needed, then reheat. 5. Serve warm. |
