Katie's Seasoned Asparagus With Bacon |

Cut the asparagus and make it easier for the kids to eat. Ingredients:
1 lb asparagus, fresh |
1 teaspoon olive oil |
4 slices thick sliced bacon |
2 tablespoons old bay seasoning |
1/2 teaspoon tarragon |
1 tablespoon bacon grease or 1 tablespoon lard |
Directions:
1. Chop bacon. 2. Heat skillet over medium heat and melt bacon grease (or lard). 3. Fry up bacon until about halfway cooked. 4. While bacon is cooking, chop asparagus into 1-2 lengths (discard ends). 5. Drizzle asparagus with olive oil and toss with tarragon and Old Bay seasoning. 6. Add asparagus to skillet, cook covered, stirring occasionally, 5-7 minutes or until desired doneness. |
