Kasza Gryczana Or Polish Baked Buckwheat |

Buckwheat besides being healthy has been a staple in in Polish cuisine. Buckwheat is usually eaten as a side with many dishes. However variations include adding honey, veal, pork garlic, the sky's the limit. With it's earthy flavor it goes well with almost anything added to it , except Milky Way bars. Ingredients:
3 cups dechlorinated water (for city water let water stand in an open container on a container overnight for the chlorine to evaporate) |
1 tsp salt |
1 1/4 cup buckwheat groots |
butter |
Directions:
1. heat your oven to 300 degrees 2. bring the water to a boil and add the salt and buckwheat 3. simmer until the groots have absorbed most of the water 4. drain thoroughly 5. lay out flat in a greases ovenproof pan and bake 20 minutes 6. serve with butter 7. or honey or cinnamon or experiment and PRZYJEMNOŚĆ (enjoy) |
