From Madison Middle School. Ingredients:
6 potatoes |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 pinch pepper |
1/2 cup cream |
2 cups sauerkraut (1 no. 303 can) |
3 slices bacon |
Directions:
1. Peel and boil potatoes; mash with potato water. Add salt, pepper, and cream; whip. Heat sauerkraut and drain. Cook bacon until crisp; reserve drippings. Break bacon into pieces. Mix sauerkraut into mashed potatoes; add bacon drippings and bacon. Blend well and pile lightly into serving bowl. Serve hot. |
