KAPOSZTSALATA This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Zimmerman Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1991. Ingredients:
1 head cabbage |
1/2 small onion |
2 tablespoons white vinegar |
5 tablespoons corn oil |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Slice cabbage head into slaw then place into bowl. 2. Mince 1/2 small onion and add to bowl then add vinegar, oil, sugar, salt and pepper. 3. Mix and squeeze slaw so it makes some juice. 4. This will make the slaw limp then refrigerate until serving time. |
