Czech food. Ingredients:
1 lb kale |
1 onion, grated |
1 egg |
2 tablespoons flour |
2 bread rolls |
2/3 cup shortening |
1 1/3 cups fine breadcrumbs |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Boil kale in salted water for 10 minutes; drain. 2. Soak bread rolls; squeeze dry. 3. Chop the kale and rolls together finely. 4. Add flour, egg, onion, salt and pepper and enough crumbs to make a stiff dough. 5. Form into patties. 6. Roll into remaining bread crumbs; brown in shortening. |
