A great dessert made with chocolate cake, Kahlua, Cool Whip and sprinkled with a crumbled chocolate bar. Ingredients:
1 chocolate cake, 13 x 9 inches, cooled and cut in chunks |
3/4 cup kahlua |
1 package chocolate instant pudding, prepared |
12 ounces cool whip |
note: i like to use real whipped cream |
1 chocolate candy bar (neilson's milk chocolate, cadbury's milk chocolate or skor) |
Directions:
1. Assemble in a 2-quart cut glass or trifle bowl. 2. Put half of the chunks of chocolate cake in the bottom of the bowl. 3. Pour half of the Kahlua over the cake. 4. Spread half the pudding over the cake. 5. More Kahlua then spread half of the Cool Whip/whipped cream over the pudding. 6. After you have repeated the layering, crumble the chocolate bar and sprinkle pieces over the top. If you do not want to use the chocolate bar technique then you can simply use chocolate sprinkles sold in the baking section of your grocery store. |
