I love, love, love this recipe. I have no idea where it came from. I add quite a bit more Khalua to mine. I also like to use a large scoop for the dough and make coffee house size cookies. These are especially good when slightly heated before eating. Yummy! I hope you enjoy them as much as we do! Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
1/2 cup butter, softened |
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed |
3/4 cup sugar |
2 eggs |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
4 tablespoons coffee liqueur, kahlua |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 cups rolled oats |
2 cups chocolate chips |
1 cup walnuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Mix ingredients one at a time in order listed, making sure each is well incorporated before adding the next ingredient. 3. Place dough 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. I prefer to use parchment paper. Bake for 13 to 16 minutes, or unil cookies begin to lightly brown on edges. 4. Cool cookies on a wire rack. Store in an air-tight container. |
