The recipe I found recommended Yuban for the coffee and Christian Brothers for the Brandy, but probably other brands work just as well. The cooking time is the time it needs to sit. Could make a nice gift, once it's bottled up. Ingredients:
4 ounces instant coffee |
8 cups sugar |
2 pints brandy |
4 cups boiling water |
2 vanilla beans or 2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Mix the first 3 ingredients- Shake really well- add the last two- shake hard again. 2. Pour into dark bottle, tightly cap, and let sit for one week. 3. Shake again. |
