This is a easy recipe I got from my Frank Davis cookbook. Never just cook 1 cup do 4 cups and freeze! It makes a big batch that you can freeze. If you freeze it, just microwave til hot and serve. Ingredients:
1 gallon water |
1 tablespoon salt |
4 cups long grain rice |
Directions:
1. In a 8 quart stock pot, bring a gallon of salted water to a rapid boil. 2. Stir in gradually 4 cups of rice and boil for 14 minutes. 3. Next drain and rinse in a metal screen colander. 4. Now add 2 cups of water to stock pot and bring to boil. 5. Now place colander over you steaming stock pot and cover for 5 minutes. 6. It will serve up grain for grain. |
