A very tangy and peppery sauce that compliments all beef, pork or chicken. Ingredients:
1 cup onion, diced fine |
2 tablespoons garlic cloves, minced |
1/4 cup canola oil |
1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder |
1 tablespoon paprika |
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (to taste) |
2 teaspoons fresh ground pepper |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/4 teaspoon white pepper |
2 cups ketchup |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
1 cup cider vinegar |
3/4 cup yellow mustard |
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce |
1 tablespoon liquid smoke |
Directions:
1. 1.) Heat oil & onion 10 minutes on medium heat, add garlic 5 minutes more. 2. 2.) Add dry ingredients simmer 5 minutes more, add liquid & cover. 3. 3.) Simmer 45 minutes on low heat & let cool slightly & blend until smooth. 4. 4.) Refrigerate 24 hours before use. |
