Just Good Mashed Potatoes |

This is from May/June 2006 issue of Paula Deen. So simple, but delicious. Sour cream really makes these pop! Ingredients:
8 cups peeled and coarsely chopped potatoes (about 4 large) |
1/4 cup butter |
1/4 cup milk |
1/4 cup sour cream |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, cook potatoes 10-12 minutes, or until tender, in enough water to cover; drain. Return potatoes to hot saucepan and let sit on burner (with burner off) until excess water has steamed off potatoes. 2. Add butter and remaining ingredients. Mash potatoes to desired consistency. |
