1-1/2 pounds ground turkey or beef, browned and drained |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 quart tomato juice |
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup, undiluted |
1 cup uncooked long grain rice |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme |
2 bay leaves |
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon curry powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Pour into a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Cover and bake at 350° for 80-90 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Yield: 8-10 servings. |
