Just a recipe I came up with, when I didn't have much in the house. You can garnish with shredded cheese and green onions. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 onion, chopped |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon oregano |
1 cup water |
1/2 cup beef broth |
15 ounces diced tomatoes |
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce |
1/2 lb cooked whole wheat penne |
Directions:
1. Brown beef, and onions in skillet over med-high, until beef is cooked. 2. Add all other ingredients, except pasta. 3. Bring to a boil. 4. Cover and reduce heat, simmering for 5 minutes. 5. Toss with pasta, and top with garnish! |
