I got this recipe from my grandma.
Ingredients:
vegetable oil (enough to cover bottom of pan)
1 medium onion (cut in half)
2 cups white rice
4 cups water
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
4 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a medium sized pan. put onion in oil, let fry for about 3 minutes. add rice and let rice brown for about 10 minutes (stir every 2 minutes). once rice is brown, add the water, tomato sauce and bouillon. bring to a boil. once it is boiling, turn heat to low. cover and let cook until water is absorbed. after water is gone, turn off heat and leave cover on. let rice sit for about 30 minutes, do not open lid until the rice has sat for 30 minutes. serve and enjoy. *_*.
