This is my mother-in-law's famous stuffing. I grew up eating cornbread stuffing at Thanksgiving, but after tasting this Sausage Stuffing I switched, and we've had it every Thanksgiving for the last 20 yrs. It's super easy too. Worcestershire is important. I have added the ground beef before, but I usually don't. Ingredients:
1 lb ground sausage |
1/2 lb ground beef (optional) |
1 onion, chopped |
4 stalks celery, chopped |
10 slices white bread, torn into small pieces |
1 chicken bouillon cube, dissolved in |
1 cup water |
2 eggs, beaten |
sprinkling worcestershire sauce |
Directions:
1. Brown hamburger meat and sausage; drain. Combine all ingredients and bake 350 for 40 minutes. |
