I have been making these for years and my family loves them. They are good alone, but also go well with chili, or tortilla soup. Up the heat factor by using a Pepper Jack Cheese, if you like. They are quick and easy! Read more ! Ingredients:
1c. butter or margarine, softened |
1/4 c. finely chopped green onions |
1 (4 oz.) c. diced green chilies (or jalapenos) |
1 c. monterey jack cheese, grated |
1/4 c. mayonnaise |
1/2 t. garlic powder |
1 loaf french bread, sliced 1/4 inch thick, or party bread |
Directions:
1. Combine butter, onion, peppers, cheese, mayo, and garlic powder. Spread bread slices with butter mixture. 2. Broil about 5 minutes, or until cheese bubbles. |
