Ingredients:
4 ham hocks |
2 yellow onions |
3 cloves garlic |
1 bay leaf |
2 cups water |
16 ounces chicken broth |
12 bunches collard greens |
Directions:
1. Cook ham hocks, whole onions, whole garlic, bay leaf, water and broth in a large saucepan for 1 1/2 hours or until meat falls off bone. Add clean, roughly cut collard greens with stems removed. Cook uncovered for another 1 1/2 hours turning greens occasionally. Serve as side vegetable. |
