This my recipe for sauteed mushrooms, and it turns a simple hamburger steak into one of our favorite meals. It's a versatlle recipe because you can use any kind of mushrooms you have on hand, or a mixture. Use red wine or white, and beef or chicken broth, depending on what you're serving with. Read more . It turns out good with any combination. It can easily be doubled. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter |
1/2 lb. mushrooms, thinly sliced |
1/4 cup wine |
8 ounces chicken or beef broth |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in skillet over medium-high heat 2. Add mushrooms and cook until mushrooms are lightly browned, about 5 minutes 3. Pour in wine, increase heat to high, and cook until liquid has evaporated, about 8 minutes. 4. Add broth, lower heat and simmer until liquid thickens, about 10 minutes. |
