Another recipe I found in the book America's Most Wanted Recipes by Ron Douglas. It is a copycat of Johnny Carino's and I have used store bought Alfredo sauce and also made my own Alfredo sauce and used fresh garlic.
Ingredients:
1 cup alfredo sauce
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 pinch salt
1 garlic clove, minced
3 ounces chicken, cooked and sliced
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
2 tablespoons pecorino romano cheese, grated
2 tablespoons provolone cheese, grated
2 tablespoons mozzarella cheese, grated
2 tablespoons asiago cheese, grated
10 ounces fettuccine, cooked
Directions:
1. In a warm skillet, combine the Alfredo sauce, black pepper, cayenne pepper, salt, garlic and chicken. Cook over low heat stirring until the sauce begins to boil and the chicken is heated through.
2. As the sauce continues to boil, begin to mix in the cheeses until a dense smooth sauce is formed.
3. Remove from the heat, add the pasta, toss and serve.
