Cornmeal based loaf, typically eaten for breakfast. We like it in place of pancakes.....but it is also good eaten cold like cornbread. Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 cup cornmeal |
1/3 cup sugar |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
1 cup milk |
1/3 cup oil |
2 eggs |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients. 2. Mix wet ingredients. 3. Mix together until combined. 4. Pour into a greased tart or pie plate.(I use my short round french white casserole). 5. Bake at 375* for 25 minutes. 6. Serve hot with butter and syrup or jam, or cold as a biscuit. |
