This is a puffy type of corn bread we have every Sunday for a family breakfast. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
2 tablespoons baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup cornmeal |
1 cup milk |
3 eggs |
3/4 cup maple syrup |
3/8 cup melted butter |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. Grease a 9x12 cake pan. 3. Sift flour, B.Powder, Cornmeal & Salt into a bowl, stir to blend dry ingredients. 4. Add Milk, Syrup, Butter & Eggs. Use hand mixer to blend. 5. Pour into pan, and bake for 40min (or until done). 6. (spice it up, in the past I've put Craisins (dried Cranberries ) in the cake, or a half teaspoons of Nutmeg. use your imagination). |
