These are the light and fluffy ones that the kids beg for. Ingredients:
1 cup self rising flour |
1 tablespoon sugar |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 egg (beaten) |
1 cup buttermilk |
Directions:
1. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside. 2. In a separate bowl mix egg, buttermilk and oil. 3. Pour egg mixture in to flour mix. Stir until just blended but still lumpy. 4. Cook till golden brown on a HOT griddle. |
