This chili will certainly warm you up on cold day. Just prepare ingredients the night before, plug in the crock pot to simmer all day, and come home to piping hot and spicy dinner. Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef |
32 ounces red kidney beans |
4 pints tomatoes, canned |
1 onion, large |
1 bell pepper |
1/4 cup celery, chopped |
1 tablespoon chili powder |
1 teaspoon black pepper |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Lightly brown ground beef, onions, celery, and peppers with garlic and black pepper. Drain grease. 2. Add to crock pot with tomatoes, chili powder, and rinsed red kidney beans. 3. Cook on high setting in crock pot for 8 - 10 hours. 4. Serve with saltine crackers. (optional) |
