My chili with Turkey instead of veggie crumbles Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 large yellow onion, chopped |
1 large green bell pepper, chopped |
1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, undained |
1 (16 ounce) can black beans, undrained |
2 (20 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes, undrained |
2 lbs ground turkey |
2 tablespoons chili powder |
1 tablespoon cocoa powder |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Brown ground turkey separately. 2. Brown the onion and pepper in olive oil. 3. Add the chili powder to the veggies and mix in well. 4. When sufficiently browned, add the canned beans and tomatoes. 5. Allow to come up to temperature and add cocoa powder and cinnamon, mixing in well. 6. Add Turkey to chili. 7. Continue to allow to bubble, adding other spices to taste. |
