Joan's Crazy Caramel Corn |

Kids love this...WARNING! hard to stop eating once you start! Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) bags puff corn curls |
1/2 cup butter (do not use margarine) |
1 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup light corn syrup |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
Directions:
1. Place puff corn in a large roaster pan. 2. In 2 qt sauce pan, cook together for 2 minutes the following. 3. butter, brown sugar and corn syurp. 4. Remove from heat. 5. Add the baking soda (this will cause the mixture to foam-so the 2 qt saucepan is necessary). 6. Pour Carmel mixture over corn. 7. Stir til well mixed. 8. Place in a 250 oven for 45 minutes. 9. Stir at least every 10 minutes. 10. Remove from oven and pour on wax paper and break apart. 11. Stor in air tight container. 12. **Mayadd peanuts for an extra flavor. |
