A Christmas-ee version of everyones favourite gravy boat! The potatoes look great on the table and very, very festive Ingredients:
5 lbs of your favourite pototoes-recommend white versus yukon gold |
1/4 lb or 250 ml of salted butter |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
one bunch of green onions - dark green ends only |
one sweet red pepper |
salt and pepper |
250 ml cream cheese |
Directions:
1. Peel and boil your potatoes until tender. 2. While your potatoes are boiling, chop the green onions and the sweet red pepper into 1/4 inch pieces 3. Drain potatoes and mash 4. Add butter first, then garlic powder 5. 1/4 lb or 250 ml of cream cheese and blend into potaotes. (I like to use a hand masher versus any hand mixer) 6. Add chopped green onions and red peppers and mix gentle into mashed potatoes 7. salt and pepper to taste |
