Jícama spears with lime juice and chili powder are a popular street snack in Mexico crunchy, sour, and spicy all in one bite. Ingredients:
a 1/2-pound piece jícama |
1/2 english cucumber |
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice |
1/8 teaspoon chili powder |
a pinch cayenne |
coarse salt to taste |
Directions:
1. Peel jícama and seed cucumber. Cut jícama and cucumber into about 2 1/2- by 1/4-inch spears and in a bowl toss with remaining ingredients. |
