I'm sure everyone has had fired potato patties.. here is an old recipe I came across years ago..
Ingredients:
1 large grated potatoe per person
1 grated onion per 4 to 6 potatoes
1 egg per 4 to 6 potatoes
1 tes. salt
matza meal or crushed saltines to make batter.
Directions:
1. Drain excess moisture from grated potatoes and onion.
2. Add eggs, salt and meal/crackers to the potatoes and onion to make batter.
3. Fry (about the size of 3 in. pancake) in hot oil until brown.
4. Keep warm in oven.
5. Serve with Sour Cream and Applesauce.
