blend in 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice with 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 teaspoon almond flavoring. |
while cake is beating; prepare the filling |

1 1/2 cups chopped toasted pecans |
2/3 cup sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon |
grease 8 x 12 inch pan and spread half of the batter(moisten hand with water and spread evenly) |
sprinkle half of nut mixture filling then spoon on remaining batter and top with nut mixture. |
