simple oyster appetizer or addition. a favorite in my house! Ingredients:
1 pint, pacific oysters, extra small size (18-20 oysters/pint) |
1-2 cups italian seasoned bread crumbs |
1/2 cup shredded pasta cheese (such as parm or romano) |
enough oil to fry in. |
Directions:
1. ~Pre-heat oven to 350*F 2. *Straight from the container, (do not rinse or dry) coat oysters in bread crumbs. 3. *fry oysters in oil about 45 sec. on each side (until rich golden brown) 4. *place cooked oysters on paper towels to dry, top each w/ a pinch of shredded cheese. 5. *place topped oysters (on paper towels) in oven just until cheese is melting. (2-5 min) 6. ~serve |
