I love spinach and artichoke dip. However, I never really found one I didn't mess with. I came up with my own after many experimentations. I even once added some mushrooms, I didn't like it. It wasn't your average button mushrooms, I might try those sometime. Anyway, this is usually a hit with my family when we have get-togethers. Ingredients:
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen spinach |
1 (8 ounce) jar marinated artichoke hearts |
1 (16 ounce) container parmesan cheese |
1 (16 ounce) package mozzarella cheese |
1 cup mayonnaise (not miracle whip, too sweet) |
1 tablespoon minced garlic |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Thaw spinch according to package directions. 3. Drain WELL. (You do not want it watery.). 4. Chop up artichoke hearts. 5. Add all ingredients in a medium sized casserole dish. 6. Bake in middle oven rack for 25 to 30 minutes, or until slightly golden and bubbly. 7. Serve with tortilla chips. |
