From a sweet teacher at my kid's school. Sounds alot like my mom's. Ingredients:
2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans cream of celery soup |
1 (8 ounce) carton heavy whipping cream |
2 cups chicken broth |
2 (28 ounce) cans white potatoes or 6 medium potatoes |
1 medium onion, diced |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Saute diced onion in 1 tbs oil in large soup pot until soft. 2. Cut up canned potatoes into chunks or peel fresh potatoes and cut into chunks. 3. Add potatoes, cans of soup, heavy cream, broth and potatoes to soup pot. 4. Heat to an almost boil then simmer until potatoes (if raw) are soft. 5. Season to taste. |
