Jello and Cool Whip Easy Strawberry Trifle |

This tastes so good. I always make this around the holidays or bring to a potluck. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups boiling water |
1 (3 ounce) package strawberry gelatin |
1 1/2 cups cold water |
1 (12 ounce) package poundcake (or homemade if you prefer) |
1 (8 ounce) container cool whip |
2 cups sliced strawberries |
Directions:
1. Stir 1 1/2 cups boiling water into 1 pkg (8 serving size) strawberry jello gelatin in large bowl until completely dissolved. 2. Stir in 1 1/2 cups cold water. 3. Pour into 13x9-inch pan. 4. Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. 5. Cut gelatin into cubes. 6. Layer gelatin cubes, pound cake, 1/2 tub Cool Whip whipped topping and 2 cups sliced strawberries in a large glass bowl. 7. Top with remaining Cool Whip. 8. Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve. 9. Makes 15 servings. |
