I received a new bread machine as a gift and used it to create a most delicious recipe for pesto-and-herb bread. It gets rave reviews from family and friends and is a wonderful complement to meat or meatless meals. Ingredients:
3 1/4 cups bread flour |
3 tablespoons sugar |
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes |
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
1 teaspoon dried basil |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons water |
2 tablespoons 1% low-fat milk |
2 tablespoons commercial pesto |
2 teaspoons olive oil |
Directions:
1. Lightly spoon bread flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for placing flour and remaining ingredients into the bread pan. Select the European bake cycle, and start the bread machine. |
