This recipe was given to me when discussing ruhbarb at an aquasize class. It is really good. Jeff was our life guard. His mom says she has subsituted rhubarb with peaches or plums. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter |
1 medium onion, chopped fine |
2 cloves garlic, minced fine |
2 cups stewed rhubarb |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup chili powder |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/4 cup molasses |
1/4 cup vinegar |
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce |
1 cup ketchup |
3 tablespoons tomato paste |
3/4 cup water |
1 tablespoon tabasco sauce |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 tablespoon paprika |
Directions:
1. Saute onions and garlic in butter until soft. 2. Add remaining ingredients. 3. Cook over medium low heat for 30 minutes or until desired thickness is achieved. |
