An in-skillet hamburger pie with fluffy mashed potatoes and cheese sprinkled on top. Very filling. Serve with small side salad and finish meal with fresh fruit. Ingredients:
1/2 pound beef, chuck |
15 oz. green beans,french style |
15 oz. green beans, kitchen cut |
12 oz. tomato soup, condensed |
3 pounds potatoes, mashed |
1/2 cup cheese, 2%, mild cheddar |
1/2 cup 1% milk |
1 tblsp margarine, brummel and brown |
Directions:
1. Brown beef and break into small pieces as you brown the meat. 2. Remove meat from skillet with slotted spoon and remove any fat from the skillet. Return meat to skillet. 3. Combine green beans with tomato soup. Add mixture to beef stirring in and put on low heat with lid on skillet. 4. Peel and Dice potatoes. Place in cold water, Boil 'til tender and drain potatoes. Put into bowl adding milk and Brummel and Brown. Beat until fluffy. 5. With spatula arrange mashed potatoes over the mixture in the skillet and sprinkle with the cheese. Cover for about 1 minute. Remove lid.Cheese will have melted. 6. Allow to set for about 3 minutes and then serve. |
