These were originally dubbed chicken cookies by our church youth group. I have no idea why, but the name stuck. I didn't want to post them that way for obvious reasons. ;) Anyway, these are a big hit for road trips, and what kid-young or old-doesn't love cookies?! Ingredients:
2 cups margarine |
2 cups brown sugar |
1 cup granulated sugar |
1 cup powdered sugar |
4 eggs |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons baking soda dissolved in 1/4 c warm water |
4 cups oatmeal |
4 cups flour |
4 cups rice krispies |
1 cup chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Cream the margarine with the sugars. 2. Add the eggs and salt and mix until smooth. 3. Blend in the baking soda/water mixture. 4. Add oatmeal, flour, rice krispies, and chocolate chips. 5. Drop by spoonfuls on a lightly greased cookie sheet. 6. Bake 10-15 minutes in a 350 oven until lightly browned. |
