From my mom's recipe box. Ingredients:
4 lbs chicken |
2 1/2 cups self rising flour |
2 eggs |
1 cup milk |
1/2 cup green onion, chopped |
4 tablespoons oil |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 tablespoon sage |
1 tablespoon pepper |
1 tablespoon parsley |
Directions:
1. Boil and bone chicken, keeping the broth. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine all other ingredients into a dough. 3. Roll 1/4 inch and cut in strips. 4. Drop in broth and boil 20 to 30 minutes. 5. Put chicken back in the pot with the broth and dumplings. |
