This recipe is from Bice's new book; Quacker Factory Christmas. It is a variation of creamed corn and was a favorite of her brother, growing up. Now it is a staple on her Christmas table. Ingredients:
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature |
1/4 cup milk |
1 tablespoon butter |
1/2 teaspoon onion salt |
1 (16 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained |
paprika, for garnish (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Have ready a small casserole dish. 2. Combine cream cheese, milk, butter and onion salt in a saucepan; stir over low heat until cheese melts. Stir corn into cheese. 3. Pour into small casserole dish. Sprinkle with paprika for color, if desired. Cook in preheated oven, uncovered until bubbly, about 10 minutes. |
