Japanese dipping sauce for sesame chicken katsu Ingredients:
1 cup catsup (tomato sauce) |
1/2 cup worcestershire sauce |
1/2 cup sake (japanese rice wine) |
2 tablespoons ginger, finely diced |
2 tablespoons garlic, finely diced |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup mirin (japanese sweet cooking sauce) |
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat stirring occasionally 2. Reduce to a simmer for 25-30 minutes skimming any foam that rises to the top 3. To serve warm, serve immediately 4. Will keep refrigerated for 4 weeks 5. Reheat when reusing (microwave or over gentle heat until it is warmed through) |
