This is an easy side dish. I eat it often at my best friend's home. She does it with one pork chop, but I suppose you could use leftover turkey or whatever you want (even leaving out meat for vegetarian would be good). Ingredients:
1 cup instant rice |
1/2 cup cooked pork, chops |
1/2 cup green beans |
2 scrambled eggs |
1 dash soy sauce |
1 tablespoon oil or 1 tablespoon margarine |
1 cup chicken broth |
Directions:
1. In medium skillet, brown rice in oil or oleo. 2. Add 1-cup chicken broth. 3. Cover; let stand 5 minutes. 4. Add green beans, scrambled egg and soy sauce. 5. Toss. 6. Put in bowl. 7. Add to table as a side dish. |
