Fregola is a Sardinia type of pasta it is toasted and has a nutty flavor. Ingredients:
3 cups broth, and or water |
salt |
1 pinch saffron thread (optional) |
1 cup fregola pasta |
1 tablespoon unsalted butter or 1 tablespoon olive oil |
2 tablespoons minced fresh italian parsley |
2 tablespoons minced chives |
Directions:
1. Bring water to boil. 2. Add salt and saffron. 3. Add fregola. 4. Lower heat and gently simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. 5. Drain and add butter/olive oil and herbs. |
