Just playing around one day and tried something different and this is the scrumptious result... Ingredients:
2 1/2 teaspoons yeast |
1/2 cup milk |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 tablespoon shortening |
2 cups milk |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 cup frozen raspberry-lemonade concentrate |
1 egg |
9 cups flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. Mix yeast, warm milk and 2 T. sugar and let sit for 5 minutes. 2. Mix Shortening, milk and salt and cook until shortening melts and let stand for 5 minutes. 3. Add rest of ingredients. 4. Knead for 10 minutes. 5. Raise 1 hour. 6. Knead 1 more minute. 7. Put in 4 loaf pans, let raise 1 hour. 8. Cook at 350* for 30 minutes. |
