Adapted from How to Eat Better for Less Money. The cheese keeps the meat moist as well as flavoring it. Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
2 tablespoons onions, finely chopped |
1 garlic clove, finely chopped |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon black pepper |
2/3 cup cheddar cheese, shredded |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1 dash hot pepper sauce |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients and mix well. 2. Form into 8 patties. 3. Grill, broil or pan-saute 5-6 minutes on each side, or until meat reaches desired doneness. |
