Jamaican Lemon Ginger Smoothie |

My version of the Jamaican lemonade served at Fish, Wings & Tings in Washington, DC. The ginger adds heat so adjust more or less to your taste. Ingredients:
1 lemon |
1 cup prepared lemonade |
2 inches gingerroot (2-inch or so) |
2 tablespoons sugar |
2 cups ice cubes |
Directions:
1. Zest and juice the lemon and place in blender. Add lemonade, ginger, sugar and ice cubes and process until slushy. This might also be good with rum or vodka. |
