Basic easy recipe : This receipe is usually eaten at breakfast time with scrambled eggs or just with jam or butter. To make a large amount just add more flour Ingredients:
8 ozs self raising flour |
(plain flour can be used just add 1 teaspoon of baking powder) |
2 pinches of salt |
1 cup of water or as needed |
vegetable oil to fry |
Directions:
1. Method 2. Put the flour into a mixing bowl and add the salt then stir in the water slowly until the mixture forms a soft dough (dont worry if you dont use all the water) 3. knead the flour for about 5 - 6 mins then make some round balls the size of a plum 4. put a frying pan with oil on moderate heat when hot fry until golden brown. 5. Serve with jam and butter or sprinkle with sugar |
